Going to head up on monday. I thing the east side will be fun. A shallow rock hump a half a mile out. I'll have a report when I return.

Looking to get out to Mille Lacs this weekend or early next week. Down here it has been a warm up, but wondering about up there? I see posts saying 10-12 inches in the bays. Any advice on which bays to head to would be great... Thanks!

Hey... i was up fishing out of isle bay and we hammered the 15 inch "sloties"... We were using jiging spoons with waxes for jumbo perch also...the wallies were hittin in 10 ft. of water on the rocks when the sun hit the trees. use a gloing size 6 hook with a fathead or small shiner. good luck and take my advice.

Check your resort before heading out. Areas with rocks will have less do to them giving out heat. Bays have around 10-12. Also they have been colder up there.

hey, im goin up from the suburbs on saturday and wonderin, how thick is the ice in and around the bays up there, down here we've had around 5 to 6 inches and the warm up has brought it down to 2 to 3 inches so i was wonderin if thats affecting the ice up there, i got out a couple of times down here but that warm up has killed us, so any info on ice thickness in and around the bays and fishing reports would be helpful, thanks

Was up fishing on Cove Bay 12/8/2002. I am planning on taking My wife up on 12/15/02. I know that the cities has had a recent warm up, and was wondering if this is going to effect the fishing? We will be fishing in Cove Bay, and would like to know what the thickness of the ice is?

Here is a report, Igloo style houses can be rented from Jerry Brandt's resort, south end about a mile east of cove. on with fishing. Walkhon has 13 inches as of monday. I caught my limit of jumbos biggest being 13 inches, 28 inch pike and four eyes. cove has been slow. isle bay is ok only going out truck wise a half a mile. past the bays on the main lake is about 5-6. East looks good, about 7-9 atv's going over a mile. south, well it's looking to be about two weeks before they think about pulling out houses, bad winds comming from south caused horrible breaks and bad ice conditions. Wll i'll have another report by the end of the week. I fish the lake 3-4 times a week for ten years. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
