200, or 242? the HONEST truth would be appreciated by all those who submit a report. If a report is fraudulent, it is simply worthless and very much unwelcome on this site. It is my personal opinion the crappie count on some of these reports just don't add up.
How are the ice conditions on Red? How are the crappies bitin`? Thanks
HEADING UP TO EDDY'S RESORT ON WEDNESDAY. JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAD BEEN OUT THERE AND WHAT THE ACTION HAS BEEN LIKE? THANKS FOR ANY HELP!
Cookie, I would not be telling anyone where I was catching fish either. Next thing you know you got 3,000 people around you that have no respect for our lakes up here. Man I see alot of trash on our lakes!
As for the rest of you, not everybody know's that you cannot keep walleyes on Red Lake due to the moratorium. Perhaps they do now. Maybe they simply alluded to the fact that they caught their limit of walleye. Education does not have to come with a price, simply put, you cannot keep ANY walleye you catch on Red Lake. Keep all the Northern, perch and crappie you want. Also keep your garbage too would ya! Happy 2003!
I will no longer report where Im fishing as it seems to offend people
The crappie bite has been dead since staurday morning a few fish have looked but havnt bitten weve caught 2 since saturday 10:am Feel tonight should be good. Will let everyone know tomorrow. weve caught 200 fish since dec, 31rst that is the honest truth
Sorry if I sounded like a smart*ss with my comment. I understand the frustration for those of you who saw the walleyes disappear from the lake, but I think most people are like me in that they just want to catch fish. I wouldn't keep a walleye and I would guess most of the other fishermen are the same way. You are going to have an idiot or two breaking the law wherever you go.

Hows the Crapies biting on Red Lake. We're are going up the week-end of the 18th of January. Do you have a grid Quard for a good spot. We only make it up there once a year and would like some help. Please give me some tips. Thanks.

I'm sorry about how I may have come off about the walleye issue. I'm just a little sensitive to the issue since I watched the eyes disappear the first time around--it was heartbreaking...
Fished Out of Bablers Resort today. Cought close to 80 walleyes and saugers but only kept 12. Fishing about 26 feet, 4-6 inches off bottom with gold jig and massive chubs. Also watch out for burbets near dark they come quick and alot of them come!
I need a little help. Fished at Breezy last 2 saterdays from 3 till 7 and have only cought a few perch. Any little hints or tips would be nice.
1/11/03 Fished all day 5 miles out of the bait station. One 4 lbs pike, some small perch, few walleye,no crappie,BAD Day.
Hey guys, Was up on the flats 8th-10th. Fish were slow to bite. It was right after that cold snap so I didn't expect much. The Ice was good but watch those cracks. Had about 18". The fish were about a foot off of the bottom. Use shiners.were in about 27'-30' of water. Jig a yellow or blue, glow with the shiner minnow. Don't go anywhere at sundown just stay and jig. Also pulled up a nice one at about 1am. let me know how you guys did
Looking to do some fishing next weekend on Red. Any suggestions for a good spot to go out of? Also, for those people who are ripping on others for commenting about walleyes; RELAX. I won't be keeping any walleyes (I probably won't even be keeping any crappies), but I too would like to hear if people have been catching them. Just because people are catching them does not mean they are keeping them. Ever heard of catch and release?
Heading up to the big LAKE OF THE WOODS this week. Going out of Border View LOdge. How's the fish been biting & with what? Feed back much appretiated!
I'M GOING TO HAMMER THE EYES THIS WEEK ON THE BIG LAKE. ANY PLUS 30 INCHERS COMMING OUT.

I was curious as to how the fishing was on the south end of the lake. A group of us will be fishing out of McQuoids on the 24th, 25th and 26th. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Also curious if Babe W has been to the site yet. Good luck to all.
