It will not be long and we will be looking at getting the sleepers on the ice. Dr Phil thats his nick name.
I headed out withh him tuesday eve and the first thing I noticed in the area we were at as the water looked a little darker then normal. We only fished less then a hour and never marked a fish. I suggested to Phil to try the same area during the day so he headed out yesterday around 1. He did real well in the time he fished landing 3 walleyes 2 perch and a small pike. So its a fishy area with a day bite at this time. For Phil to catch that many fish really tells you somthing as he struggles to catch fish even though he loves fishing. The area I fished tuesday I measured 15 inches of ice with 3 to 5 inches of frozen slush/snow. We may be able to look at getting the house's on the lake some time early next week.
