I checked out the video again of Johnny P. landing his 46" pike on Red. I hope that most people are choosing to practice catch and release on those giant ones. If we continue to release these trophies I believe that it will be possible for Red to remain a true trophy lake for many years to come. Just keep your cameras handy and send the lunkers back down the hole. Happy new year!

I too was glad to see the fish was released. Maybe we will have a chance to run across that one when we come to red in a couple of weeks. One can only hope. All of our little lakes around here are flooding due to the snow. How is it there?

WOW - 46 inches - I am glad he released the monster too!! Now one of my kids - your yours - now has the opportunity to catch and release that fish too. What a momory maker that would be. No one should keep a fish that big - keep it in the lake for all of us to enjoy.
