I looking for some whitebass ice fishing. If any of you out there can give me some direction this would be a good test for me.

Hit the rivers, St.Croix, Minnesota, Mississippi, Cannon rivers. Find any safe ice to drill holes in over water depth of 10 to 40 feet. Jig aggressively to trigger reaction bites or jig slowly with minnows.

Mississippi back waters will give you the best chance for bigger fish.

Thanks for the info, Where are some of the spot for Mississippi back water? I like to give it a try when the ice are thick enough on the river.

any lake in around the twin cities about 1-2hrs drive for whitebass ice fishing?

I can't remember for sure but I think it was just north of Red Wing.

Ice is always tricky on the river, that's why the backwaters are more safe, less moving water. There's no guarantee, ice or fish. Always bring equipment in case you fall through ice.
