I was able to get out fishing today for 2 hours and was glad I went. The first area I fished I drifted a pink jig and managed to catch a nice 19 inch walleye in 10 ffet of water followed by two sheepheads. I then went to another area and trolling a rapala in 8.4 feet of water got another chunky 19 inch walleye. Were going to eat good tonight.

Kellie and I headed to westwind last night to have them prepare the two walleyes I harvested yesterday. Again they prepared a excellent meal. I wish I had that batter receipe.Tim form westwind should market that coating.
My parents will be rolling in sometime friday and it will be nice taking them fishing for all the time Bob has taken me hunting and fishing when I was young. The weather does not look like the best but with our boat "Imagine That" we will be able to fish in allmost any weather if there game.
We will also be harvesting some blueberry's.
I shot my first arrow yesterday and will continue to shoot one or two arrows a day the rest of the season. Maybe this is the year I will take a duck out of the air.
Last year my fall fishing went south when I damaged my prop. Lets hope that does not happen again as I have always loved fall fishing.

Hey Cookie. Yep, fall fishing and the BWCA go hand in hand. Been a crazy summer, only had my boat in once and one canoe trip. Hoping to get up to Sag twice in September. I will be getting dates together here within the week, I'll PM you when I have them, but I'm thinking second week in September for you and me, and I hope Chris too.

That sounds good Lee. I hope it works out .
I was able to take my parents fishing yesterday. You could not of ask for a better day weather wise. The weather man never came close . The fishing could of been better but we did manage to catch 4 walleyes with two being keepers. My sister was able to land her pb northern and very nice 36 incher on 6 lb test. We should of tried a couple of other areas and techniques but they wanted to fish just like they did years ago so we trolled spinners . I may try a little jigging if the wind cooperates. I love my parents but they are a handfull. they rolled in a day and half late with 10 dogs. I sure miss the peace and quiet.
