Just 75 days till opener.

I'm getting the boat ready for the early cohos here in Lake Michigan. Didn't get very many last year, I'm going to try to improve that this year.

Hey Grouch try using a half stick of TNT instead of a quater and add some wieght to get it down with a longer fuse. This should get you more coho. Laughing

Either Pasterick, Burns ditch or 95th St. I like to launch at Burns Ditch because there is a great variety of water conditions that affect the fishing. 2 seasons ago a friend and I launched there, motored to the mouth and began trolling. Before we got 4 rods out we had 2 hook-ups. Limited out with coho and a couple browns in less than an hour. Best fish of the day - a 17 lb. brown.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!

We are headed for Bull Shoals tomorrow, from South Padre. Got a lot of clean up to do after the ice storm a month ago. Had the insurance adjuster out. Gutter damage, slight roof damage to my boat pole barn was $995.56. Yep, got a thousand dollar deductable. Go figure.

The Colonel.

Grouch,

I kept a boat for several years back in the mid eighties at Burns Ditch.

The best spot that i found on the south end of the lake is where the water changes color after leaving the ditch. Just troll up and down. No need to go far, no need to spend a ton on gas.

Take care,

Gowdy Cool

Gowdy - Yes, I've fished the mud line. Trolling just along the edge where ther creek water meets the lake water. Best spot in the spring. Also really good at the green marked tower at the entrance. There is a sand point stretching out about 30 yards from it. Bottom comes up to 5 or 6 feet of water.

Hey Ladies! Laughing I'm glad I'm not waiting for opener to wet my line. Heading down to Kinkaid (S. IL) next Thursday evening for a long weekend of muskie fishing. Might run in to a big bass or two as well. I'll post a couple pics when I get back to help y'all pass the time. Wink

Wow, that's a long drive for a weekend of fishing. That's got to be 400 miles.
