Anyone know what happened to the Pier on Cass Lake by HWY 2? I just heard a report that it is "gone".

That would be a shame.

That would be a shame. Always people fishing there. Last June, as we were passing by, some guy caught a nice northern there.

The Cass Lake T-Dock Fishing Pier is maintained by the City of Cass Lake Maintenance Staff and owned by the State. The dock was taken out by City back in July when high winds damaged the dock and made it unsafe for the public to use. State is looking for funding to replace the dock but until they find it we will be without a dock. Its approximately $25,000 to replace the T Dock! Hopefully they find funding soon!

Good luck on them finding funding. Here in ILL all over the news EVERYBODY is crying for more money. And they are all blaming each other for the short falls. Never enough money to go around and the things that the little guy enjoys seems to take the brunt of the cost cutting.
