Hello All, Is First Choice Guide the only guide service on Cass Lake? I am looking for a guide for a day since I would like to have a better shot of catching more fish and that seems like the smartest way to go about it:) Please let me know if there are others in case I need options because of bookings.

Thanks for the help!!

Welcome aboard Bots. Brian of First Choice is a good Choice. I took my sisters out about 3 yrs ago with him and his help was invaluable for turning my sister into the "Walleye Queen". I know he also is a musky-hunter.

But if he is booked for your time, there are also many other good guides and they are all good guyz too - some are even Crazie - like Chad, Paul, and Bro (and others).
Clark can help you with suggestions.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

I have used Bryan "Beef" Sathre of Fathead Guide Service on two occasions. Beef knows his stuff - and he knows these waters. He also likes to make sure you have a fun experience.

We were out the first week of June - which given the late thaw was "early" and tough conditions. Beef put us on the fish - and boy did that draw a crowd. We went from the sole boat to one of 14 in about 15 minutes. We moved on to a quieter location and more fish.

The second time out we were targeting LMB - and although Beef said it was not his specialty, we landed about 30 of them.

If you are looking for options, now you have one.

Cheers,

The best guide on Cass is no more. He retired. That was Col Ron. I have never dealt with Chad, but I have heard good things about him. If it were me, I would look in that direction.

I was/am still upset the Colonel moved on but understand he had to do what he had to do for sure! With that being said, I use Paul Nelson, Bro, Chad Bensen and Chris Haley....just used that group three weeks ago and they all worked their arse off thru tough conditions to make sure we caught fish and had a good time!

That's my 10 cents!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Whenever I was booked and someone wanted to go out, I called two reliable people, Chad Benson, and Brian "Beef"-Fathead Guide Service. Both are top self. And that is my nickels worth..........

Are you only twice as brave as me or have you not stopped at 4 yet?

For me, I just can't have anymore than 2.
