Had quite the day yesterday as mother nature came rolling in like a freight train. Agassiz road was in good shape untill the nine mile mark as it swings to the northshore. Without the red baron I would not of gotten to Dean and his family or Jonny boy and Roman.
I had to cut a new trail as the road was compleatly blown in.
With Phil and his buddies rolling in at noon I had to get calafornia ready to go. After escorting them to there fish house I spent a couple of hours cleaning old minnesota and fishing. With the temps dropping and the wind howling I landed 3 walleyes between noon and 2 in the afternoon. All three were caugt on differnt jigs . The largest jig caught the largest fish a16 1/2 while the medium jig caught a 15 and the small jig caugt the smallest fish?
After coming home to gas up I had to head back out to escort Phil and his pals off the lake at 7:30. Not sure where all the blowing snow was coming from but it was quite the trip. About the only thing I could see was the road bank and at one point I may of been driving on top of it Shocked With conditions like that I really should think about learning how to operate a gps. I was basicly driving blindly most of the time. It sure felt good to come off the lake. Even during the day when I was coming off it felt like I was going the wrong way. Not sure how to describe it but you start questioning if your really going the right way. Very funny feeling as I had to tell myself your on the road just keep going slow.
Mother nature may effect my house moving this week. I was able to get 5 of the nine moved before I broke on sunday and with the repairs done I have not been able to move a house. Today will not work as again mother nature has made it tough to work in that enviorment. That leaves thursday and part of friday to get everything repositoned. That might not happen as I learned my lesson sunday slow and patient. As soon as you get in a hurry and skip a step you pay the price.
Phil and the other two did manage to get two keeper walleye and two crappies

Cookie. You should really get yourself a GPS. I have the Lowrance Ifinder and love it, $179.00. I have been lost on Red in a snowstorm before with a GPS and I was scared! I was lost due to my own stupidity and I am sure you know the lake very well but that GPS will leave a trail on the screen of everywhere you have traveled and you can just follow the trail right back of the lake. Very nice and comforting.

I'm afraid late night is right cookie as you probably know.
They really are pretty easy to use-- I am guilty of not using mine as much as I should but is nice to go back to try old spots from a few years ago.
Can really help you out sometimes if weather turns ugly

My dad has one of the h2o's. It is pretty slick but I'm the one who has to run it all the time cause he or my brother don't know how to use it. Hopefully we can get the chip of all MN lakes for it. Then I won't hear the end of it if we're not catching any fish since I will be picking every spot Very Happy

I have the H2O and the Lakemaster chip that goes in it. Gives you everything you need for Minnesota, depth charts of all major MN lakes, all roads including gravel roads and some minimum maintenance forest roads. It' really slick, takes a little bit to get used to it, but once you do it's hard to leave home without it. Especially for you Cookie, you can mark all your good spots and you'll be garanteed of putting the shacks on those same hotspots from year to year. And it would be a business expense for you as well.
