Lunar Tables are far more effective than "moon tables" because they take into account critical solar energies as well as lunar. Some tips on their use: The "Best Days" column is based on the ever-changing positions of the sun and the moon, rating each day on a scale of 0 to 100. The higher the number, the more solar/lunar influence that day is experiencing.

All I know is that most good fishermen will go fishing during an indicated or noticed full moon cycle. Maybe that is why the biggest fish are caught during that time? The charts and weather have little affect on fish during the winter season for the most part, but with all the good anglers out there, the fish get caught. Do not get me wrong, there may be some affects of the moon, but it's only a part of the equation that good fishermen will use to their advantage. Hummmmm....there is an indication we will have a full moon cycle around the 2nd of Feb. Wonder if it will affect our fishing? Also, there is a good chance we will get a blanket of snow over the ice soon. At the least, it means if you are going out fishing you may need an extention on your auger to get all the way thru the snow and ice. And there will be snow to bank the houses to keep the wind out better.
See you all up on Red Lake Feb 2.
