You guys are not going to believe this. There is a site I visit called Angling 101. Been visiting there for some 8 months or so. Just got a message tonight, when I went there. It told me I was banned.Bad language. Potty mouth. Starting trouble? Nope, I was banned from this site for are you ready for this. "LACK OF PARTICIPATION". Is this guy nuts. So I don't post often, he tells me do not come back? This guy must have a screw loose. I guess if some guy does not go to church, and then finds religion and wants to to again, he is out of luck.

And back in his school daze, I'll bet that Ffishman's report card said he didn't play well with others! Just hope he doesn't go postal on us. (Of course, no offense to all the postmen out there).

See you all there! Be there, or be square...guys wear ties, gals wear dresses!

I'll be there, but it will probably be to visit my son.
He was such an angel, until..........just can't make the right choices in his teen years, but I suppose it's 'cause I'm such a bad example. His latest is a ticket for underage smoking.....ONLY $150 to the court this week- man, that could buy alotta leeches.

What's that old saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree". You would be surprised at what the little devils pick up from our examples.

First off talking about the old days, one if you did something wrong and had to walk home no dought half the neighbor hood ladies already heard about it and chased you with brooms the whole way home. When you got there if Mom didn't lay one on you it was always "Just wait till your Father gets home" Now you had to sit there and thing about the beating your probley going to get then.
The local cops didn't give you tickets or arrest you unless it was something really bad, usually a slap up the back of the head or a boot to the butt was suffiencet to get your attention. Worst case sceniro was they put you in the back of the squad and took you home, where all the neighbors some how would come out and stand on the porches and give you that famous shame shame sign.
It wasn't till I was about 25 and lost my father to a heart attack that I reliaze just how smart he really was. I could never figure out how he knew just what I was up to but truth being he had probley done it himself.
Oh I wasn't a angle but I never stoled anything or vandlised anything that couldn't be fix with a broom or some soap and water. I knew better than that cuz I had 3 uncles that were cops and a great uncle that was a judge and at a young age they took me down to the jail and showed me what being arrested was all about. God Bless them all.
Cook County Jail has got to be one of the worst places I have ever been, being like Col Ron I too was lucky enough to have been on the outside looking in and never a resident. The only place that is worst I would say is Ascom Military Prison in Korea that place is like a the Trukish prison in that movie. NASTY

And last but not least don't beat yourself up over what your kids might do. Like us they all think us old folks are dumb as rocks and don't know anything about life. Once they screw up and have to face the facts of life they hopefullly will learn from it and think twice before they do anything like that agian.

Beside all this we all will prevail in the end, just hang in there and try and live through it. Good luck all.

While we are being nostalgic many years ago my Mom gave me a short poem. Stuck with me to this day, and when you think about it, it sure rings true. "When I was a young lad of 14 my Dad was so stupid, I could hardly stand to have him around. When I turned 21 I was amazed at how much he learned in 7 years"
