Water temps are now in the mid 70's here and the water levels are getting ugly. Went to Pike Bay the other day and it was a brutal trip. One of our boats got hung for a minute until they shifted their weight. The warm water has the musky bite going strong. We are seeing plenty of fish to keep a folks exited and landing some too. The best action has been morning and evening lately. Not any specific baits or locations showing us more fish than others.
Walleye fishing is going well in the mornings and evenings as well with leeches and crawlers both bringing in many fish. We are picking up a lot of fish shallow still but the heat is driving some better numbers into the 20 foot zone. Perch are going strong on the flats with most people pitching bobber rigs over them. The hot weather should continue to set up good morning and evening bites so beat the heat and the pleasure boats.

The fishing gets much better as time slips by and the fish keep getting more predictable. August has been good to my boat over the years so you should be looking at a great rip...just bring some slightly cooler weather with you Wink

You will have a blast... Cass can put out some big fish in August!!!!

I agree with Brian, try to bring some cool weather with you when you come.. It can be miserable in August as far as weather goes....

Gene,

I tried to shift my weight... But when I did it made me look like I wish doing a funky chicken dance or something in the boat... It was a site to be seen or not seen!!!!
