Have the Perch started hitting yet and if so when did they start. I understand they were just sitting in about 15 to 30 feet of water last week.

Welcome aboard BlueDuck,
So far the perch have been slow coming, a few here and there. No one here at the Horseshoe has taken full limits of perch home, at least not all 9" or bigger. Should be starting soon.

BlueDuck, welcome.

Since I am on the other side of the lake, I see things Clark doesn't and vica versa. We have seen some big perch come in this week. Where they are caught, remains a secret, but some are 13" and slightly larger. Catching these and where to catch them is a harder find than the walleyes.

Clark

When my wife and I get up there next week, we'll keep you guys busy cleaning perch. You might need a bigger fillet knife though.

I'm kind of worried about the mines though. My boat "Prop Killer" seems to hit anything within 3 feet of the surface. Crying or Very sad

TiredofWorking; not to worry Clark has a knife for every occasion. He has even learned to use most of them.

Tired,

Not to worry, we'll part the mines like the Red Sea in the Dead Sea.
If I need that real big of knife I'll fire up the chain saw.

Blue Duck - I do have my favorites - I have a hard time finding the switch on some ???

Hey blueduck, those perch can be elusive. At times, we have our limit of eyes, and then go searching for Jumbo perch. Sometimes they are easy to find, and other times, it like finding gold.
