Finished the season with a 1 week stay at Horseshoe. Limits of perch and walleye. Weather was absolutely the best. Now looking forward to 2013 Opening Day.

Good to hear someone got up there this fall. Glad to year you caught limits as well. This will be the first year in the last 11 that I won't make it up to N. MN in the fall. Took a new job that has made it difficult to get days off. Going to South Dakota to hunt pheasants @ the end of October... but that's about it. Will hopefully fish locally a few weekends before ice up.

Who fishes for rock bass?? Caught one in 15 feet of water while trolling for walleye. Put it back for Gene.

Grouch,
You are a really considerate Cass Lake Crazie...thanks.

I can just imagine how wonderful the Fall must be on Cass with above avg Autumn temps keeping it easy to fish and drink beer.

But trolling? C'mon....are you a Lazy Crazie?

PS Had Rockies for din-din last week!

We really only troll after dark when we can't see to cast. The walleyes come into the shallows to feed and take a bait with gusto.
Incidentally - the perch were in the shallows, 3 to 4 foot of water. Probably could have found the rock bass there also.

Awright awright....since you need a reply so badly--
Happy New Yr Grouch...and to all the Crazies!

Grouch,
glad you were able to get up in the Fall. Luckily I have so many Rock Bass I didn't need to go more than once this yr.

Countdown? Our trip this yr is booked for June 8-14... we can't wait!

Happy Winter to all us Crazies.

Happy New Year Gene and to all CLC's. When you get tired of eating Rockies, go get some Lou Malnaties pizza. Karen and I had one of six we had delivered here to Utah on New Years eve. With some Moose Drool from Mn. Yum! Come on spring. I do NOT ice fish, too cold for these old bones. Cass Lake again in the fall. Hope time flies.
