I guess we must start over. I posted the results of our fall trip last week and now it's gone. SO..........
We had 5 days od sunshine and 1 windy and 1 rainy day. Almost a perfect vacation. Caught lots of big perch and many nice walleyes. Even caught some nice fat rock bass. We kept them so they won't bother Gene next year.
Now the long wait till May14th, unless we do some ice fishing later this season.

Even?
Even?
you "Even" got into some Rockies?
Stick with me and I'll teach you how to appreciate our go-to species.

I believe you also had cold beer to enjoy up there Grouch.
Congrats again on a nice trip.

Salmon sounds real good to me but since I don't hit Lk M like you real fishermen, and since I'm on a pauper's budget, I suppose I'll have to settle for some fresh Rock Bass.
I just may thaw a few frozen shrimp too.
A little 'tail sauce on 'em with a lil lemon juice...m'mmm m'mmm!

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted anything in a long time, due to putor problems and a few health thingys I've haven't been on much at all. But just to let you know I'm still breathing and trying new things. One I did try lately is taking some early spring rockies and cutting them in chunks and pickleing them. Now you have to have a taste for this kind of fish, if you like pickle herring your love pickled rockies. Only thing is to get them early spring as the meat is firmer due to colder water, tried a small batch with ones caught in water over 65 and they were pretty soggy but still ok but not to my liking. Different thing is that I tried a sweet pickling on a small batch and they came out really good. So keep plugging along and I pray for the best for all of you.

Take my wife....please!

Closed Rockies? No trip for me then.
I may have to squeeze in a trip to the Wolf R in WI with Sven instead. White Bass--NO LIMIT!

Ah White Bass, now thats fishin or is it Dippin? If they are in the river it is faster than the best day of Rocky fishin you ever had. best part of it is that the Wisconsin Packer fans dont like the white bass just like the cass lake crazies dont like the rockies so there is more to eat for us FIBS (Freakin Illinois Bears Supporters)

Sure glad that the packers dont know how to tell time when the clock is tickin down. go Bears at vikings.
