Any other spots worth trying for panfish or bass?

That all depends on the weed growth. On the north side of the lake, near the narrows, usually there is a ton of reeds sticking up. There are bass and northerns there. But, last year, with the bad spring we had, those reeds did not start growing when we were there. If the spring is normal, Allens bay will have reeds sticking up all over the place. Start there.

I've never spent a ton of time in Allens bay, but I have caught walleyes in there. I've also seen some big northerns and musky in there. I like Pikes bay, that is may all time favorite place to fish up there. In Allens bay, try and fish the EGG.

The Egg is a smallish oval-shaped reef/sunken island directly to the north of the Potato Islands in Allen's Bay. Should be able to see it on any decent map.

If that's hard to find, then try the Boomerang. Shaped like it's name... on the western 1/4 of Allen's Bay. Besides being shaped differently, both pieces of structure are pretty similar in bottom composition, drop-off depth, etc.

They are pretty obvious "mid-lake" features on a map... so there usually are other people fishing these two spots. But there's always room! Smile

When you get a map, what ever brand you get, make sure it has the GPS coods on it. Makes finding spots a bunch easier. On the egg, I got northerns there and some bass.
