With the opener less than a month away I was wondering, of all the crazies, who is the first to head up? I know that we are pretty close to being the first but Grouch do you hit the lake before us? We hit the water May 23rd. When is everyone else heading up? It's almost time for REPORTS!!!

I am hitting the opener in Michigan tomorrow night. I will post a report ASAP just to help get the blood flowing a bit!

Grouch & friends will be there on May 15th as we have for 33 years. It's gotta be a great lake if we keep coming back year after year!

Two of us fished 4 hours on the opener and brought in our limit. Terrific weather and great results!

Grouch has got to have his countdown in minutes now.

I started looking over my gear last weekend. Trying to get an idea of what I'm going to bring. Trying not to forget anything for the boat this year in particular.

Grouch. According to some friends up there, this is one of the earliest ice-outs they've seen in years up there. So the water temps are a lot warmer, and the weeds should probably be a LOT farther along then they were when you were there last year. They need some rain too... but there's time for that.

Good luck!

Good luck guys. This will be only the 3rd time in 30 years that we will not be there. Too bad my fishing partner decided to go MIA
