Just got back from Harley Ridin in Phoenix and went to Phelps bay to check ice conditions yesterday in am. Couple houses out on Spring Park bay (no cars visible) , turning on Interlachen past Black lake about 10 housees 3 small suv's and one pickup on the ice here. Down Tuxedo to red bridge landing and onto the ice with my suburban at the edge, I took my auger and punched a hole 50 feet from shore.....20'' clear solid beautiful good ice....Thats Twenty inches of the best!!! Knowing how this bay freeze,s from west to east....and seeing 15 houses already out on the crappies and one chev pickup, Jake and I drove a 100 yards punched another hole again 20 + inches of ice....we did this all the way out....we havent had this kind of good ice , this early in a long time, the Big house goes out this morning. Dont forget to pick up trash left on the ice, and watch yer bobber...Juice

Any luck out on Phelps? I have been fishing out by Goose Island and it has been really slow. Not like years past. How deep of water are you catching fish and what depth are you seeing the fish?
