|
I am new to Minneapolis (relocated from St. Cloud), and am looking for ice fishing in the metro area.
What lakes are good for crappies/walleye/perch/etc?
How much ice is out there?
Thanks to any and all for your info!

| 6 inches over the weekend on a maple grove area lake. Most are safe but you should still be carefull. Most metro lakes have good pan fish you will have to work a littl emore if you want walleyes. |

8 inches on St.Croix, Bayport.
Always multi species, but it can be hard to get fish to bite on it. When you do get some fish, there's a pretty good chance for some nice size to them. |

| This warm snow has slushed on top of the ice on the St.Croix. It's back down to 6 inches of solid ice now. sketchy 7 inches. |
