Just 14 days to go till Cass Lake time again!
How's the water level, Clark?
Anyone else going to be there at this time?

You lucky duck! Wish I could be going.

Sven is doing his big Cass fish fry tomorrow and I will at least be enjoying the bounty we were lucky enough to get in June.
LMB, Walters, Snakers, Perch, Crappie, Gills, and...I'll save the best for last....Rockies! YUM!

Looks like the weather is going to be a little cooler starting next week. But actually pretty warm until Monday. So tear 'em up this weekend! My buddies up in Lake of the Woods are slaying the muskies right now. Caught some huge walleyes too. So that has to mean some good fishing in general hopefully.

Well, the fishing trip has come and gone already. The weather was beautiful but the fishing was not. I didn't even take one picture to show. Lots of small fish but no wall hangers. Now I will have to wait till spring to go back to Cass. BUT the beer at Pike Hole was great!!

Funny how that works out, eh Grouch. Same thing happened to us this past June. The quality of fishing this last June was inversely proportional to the quality of the weather. By the end of the week, all we caught was a buzz and some good rays. At any rate, hope you still got in to some fish to keep you busy.

Thank heavens for the Pike Hole though. There's always that. Ahhh. Cool

Hey Grouch. Any experiences with going up there at opener 3 weeks or more after ice-out? Different patterns?
