Well, the things you learn, I would never have dreamed that "Gowdy" was a Highlander.

ffishman,

The next luncheon I'll be wearing my mud flap if you think I wear a skirt. Too much time up in the north woods has your chromosones messed up.

Some fun, huh gowdy?. Years ago there was a bar on the Chain of Lakes. The bar was called Eagle Point. It was a real fun place. In the back, near the washrooms was a statue of a life size indian. True to life, down the the flap they wore. Well, the bar had it rigged, when anyone lifted the flap to look under, all kinds of bells, whisles, and lights would go off. People who knew what was going on would quickly turn and look at the indian. There you would see some poor embarassed girl, getting red in the face, trying to put the flap down and stop the noise. Great place. Have a good trip, I wish I was up there with you.

Hopefully you are reading this at the Shoe. I have been very busy with company and guests over the past three weeks walleye hunting and trout fishing. Have a great trip, please give a hug to Clark and Mom and catch a lot of fish. Enjoy the cool weather, I am really liking my 82-85 degree weather in the later part of August. Don't think I want to do the cold again.

With the unseasonably cold temps, I'm hopin' that given Gowdy's knowledge of Cass, he is slayin' 'em.
Can't wait for some pics.

Me? Just waitin' for next weekend to hit my sis's campground lakes for some gillies and LMB. But in the meantime, I'm dining on some big gillies from Allen's Bay this past June. YUM!
Luv that sweet meat.

Fishing on Geneva has been super slow the last couple of months. Most fish being caught have been late at nite, 10, 11, etc. Even the guys that chase pan fish have said its been slow. Just got a report from one of the local guides. He said the bass fishing is starting to pick up. Now that is good news. If things work out for me, I plan to hit the chain this week and chase some ski's.

Gents,

Just got back yesterday. We caught a ton of fish. Biggest was a 15 lb northern. Caught a few just a little smaller as well.

Clark and Chad took care of us as usual. Man, we ate fish four nights. Fantastic.

I'm looking forward to next year already!!

Take care,

Gowdy

Gowdy,

Not that I don't believe every word; but for those of us not lucky enough to be fishing
could you post a few pics to make us envious? Mr. Green

I also got a report from another group which said they had their best year ever last week. Very Happy
Several Walleye limits and did well on the Perch and Northerns also.

I don't even own a digital camera. But you can ask Clark. He was at all 4 of our fish fries.

I wasn't the best year ever, not even close. But pretty darn good.
