With the cold front moving through will the fishing be slow this weekend? I'm contemplating making a run up to fish the Tamarack with the kids, just want to make sure it's worth all the hassle.

Thanks for any advice,

Not sure why but with the high water maybe alot of the walleyes moved out of the river? Or they saw opener and made a mad dash for the lake under the cover of darkness because it slowed down the next day .

Matter of fact, Actully the wind picked up a bit as we headed out but we still tried a spot on the northshore first. I had two of our grandchildren with and Jason was not liking the waves at first. We all got excited as Cory landed a crappie in the first 10 minutes. Then nothing. We moved again and caught a couple of walleye just over 17. We then zipped all the way across the lake as the boys were getting bored. The third spot we picked up 4 keepers 3 or 4 to big and the boys wanted to come in . So no we did not find the mother load but maybe today.
