Heading out with a big group tonight and found it odd no one had posted since last year!
So I'll report back next week on how we did. |

| I have a large group of 16 going to Crane lake next weekend and I'm wondering what the water temp and walleyes are doing in the park. |

Just got back. Water was warm and so was the air temp.!
We got a lot of walleye but it was the slowest bass bite I've ever seen up there. We go the same weekend every year.
Grassy is the place for the walleye.
I grew up in Coon Rapdids |

| Thanks for the idea, I will try and find the grass from what I'm told there is not much grass or weeds in Crane, but a lot of gravel and boulders. If you get a chance try a charter on mille lacs. I was out last weekend and between tweleve of us we caught well over 150 fish in four hours. |

| Just got back from Crane! The wind and rain was intense but the bite was consistant. We found a lot of male walleyes in 12-18 feet off rocky shore lines. They licked minnows the best and bit better low light conditions. Pike were in the weeds of shallow bays. No bass caught with in our group and the average walleye was about 12" with the big girl being a 21" walleye. |
