I know everything was late this year - so just wondering if we are starting to catch up.

Are water temps getting to where they should be and are fishermen having success?

Heading out next week and looking for any info that would help.

Thanks!

Water temps are in the low 50's
The walleye bite on Cass in getting into full swing - lots of 17 - 19' fish with some 24 - 30" CPR and some reports of fair action trolling at night.
We are still behind but things have changed a lot from the previous 2 weeks - just starting to green up the trees.

How is the perch bite Clark? Diana and I will be there Saturday, and since I canít catch walleye, I had better find Diana some big perch or she might replace me with a younger guide.

The perch have been scattered, the best place so far is right out in front of the resort - this too will change as the water warms up a little more.

You don't always catch fish with a guide, there are those days, so tell her she can't always have it her way.

If them dang fish would just stay in the SAME spot year after year, fishing sure would be a lot easier. Funny thing, they are always on the move. Like all other fishermen, I have some favorite spots that I always hit. At times, they are loaded with fish, other times just a couple. Go figure.

ffishman,

If fishing was that easy - everyone would do it !

Some people just aren't up to the challenge..........

A few years ago, I arrived first, a day early. Got settled in, a few beers and a good nites sleep. The next morning I headed out to my favorite spot. In an hour I had my limit of eyes. As a matter of fact, they were hitting so fast, that my wife called tosay hello, and in the middle of the call I hit another one. When the guys arrived that day, I told them I had my limit of eyes. They didn't believe me, until I showed them. Other times there are only a few fish there. Go figure!
