So how's everyone else doing on URL this year? I have to say it has been mostly miss for me and my crew. We've been going out from the south end, won't say which resort, but we'll definitely be trying somewhere else next weekend. Tonight we marked one fish on the Vex, and previous trips haven't been a whole lot better.

Also the last couple of times we've been up we've noticed a lot of little minnows, not sure what they are, but these little guys swim right up into the holes. Never experienced that in all the years I've fished up there. Wonder if they have anything to do with the lack of bite we've been having.

So are we on a streak of really bad luck or has everyone else experienced some tough fishing on URL this year?

Buck

Hey Buck the guys in florida and montana had to go to westwind to have there fish cooked so they could catch a few more on saturday. Saturday was a little slower but most were catching a couple of fish with a crappie or two thrown in for good measure. Utah had a huge fish fry yesterday afternoon. Alaska and new york were a bit slow but they also managed to get 5 keepers with no crappies. Doug,Duke and Jill all had 3 crappies a piece? Tony had one as did Deb. Jonny boy got one scouting thursday.Mike had one as well as a guy named Rodger I believe. Not sure if Steve got any but he was in between the two. Met Rodger and Lisa yesterday and they sure seemed like nice people and what a nice house they have. Mark and Bill worked some broken ice on friday and got one crappie. Roman and Jonny boy were working the rough ice and Roman landed a 37 inch pike. All in all everyone seemed pretty happy last night with some a little happier then others. I expect there may be a headache or two today and glad its not me.
Dean and his family will be rolling in today so I would like to put Florida on a fresh spot.

I've only been up there once so far but during the day it was very slow for us. Then we would pick up a few walleyes right before dark with a crappie or 2 thrown in. Then it would get slow again until we went to bed. The most consistent action we had was during the night on the rattle reels.
