Perhaps I should have told this story a while back…maybe now works fine. As many of you know my wife and I were expecting our first child together early last winter. Have to admit at first I was not too thrilled considering we have a seven year old handful in the family already. As the due date grew closer I accepted that I was going to be a new daddy and bring my first little fisherman into the world shortly. Tragically on Friday the 13th of October at about 1:30am my wife suffered an abruption and started bleeding to death internally. This caused a separation between the uterus and placenta causing our little girl to suffocate to death. I thank the Lord every day my wife is still here but will always wonder why anyone would lose a baby that is perfectly healthy and not even premature. Guess we will get those answers when our own time comes to go to the big, deep, clear lake in the sky full of 65 inch muskies.

I will close this sad story by saying thank you for letting me get this off my chest so we don’t have to talk to much about it in the boat or at the dock this season. See you on the water!

Brian,

My thoughts are with you and your family. At least I hope your wife is physically feeling better now.

Hope you get out on the water and catch a lot of fish this spring. Maybe I'll get a chance to run into you again this June. Take care.

There are no words to express the sorrow of losing a loved one and no way to explain the Lord's master plan.
When I was younger, I used to hate when my mom would say "every thing happens for a reason" because I wanted to know the reason. But you never can explain a mystery. Now as I am older, I try to take it as it comes and I too use "everthing happens for a reason". I hope you and Sam receive all the support you need anytime you need it.

Brian,

We may never ever know why things occurred in our lives this side of heaven. But you CAN know that you have friends who will lift you up in prayer and will always be here for you. I am truly sorry for your loss.
