The point of vacation is to be away from things like cell phones, fax machines and e-mail. The problem is I own a small business where I need to work on payroll, billing etc for about 20 minutes per day and still be accessable if the fellas happen to burn the place down.

How is cell phone reception? Is there a place to get wireless internet? I know some McDonalds have access. It sucks, but that's how we pay for these little adventures.

My cell phone carrier is Verizon, and I had great reception.

I have Cingular and it worked at the HorseShoe Lodge and Elaine was gracious enough to let me use her internet connection when I needed it.

No reception at all on Nextel.

2 others in our group had working phones but I don't know the carrier. We kept in touch that way and one time even got called to come join the hot-bite on pannies.

Cingular is also very good in most spots up here. There is one dead spot coming back from Bemidji, but that is about it. I asked where you are staying because some of the resort have HiFi hooked up for your laptop.
